NHR 4700-12 DC Electronic Load
The 12 kW NH Research 4700-12 DC Electronic Load is a power testing tool intended for various electronic loading uses, either as a standalone bench-top configuration or integrated into an automated test station. In particular this product is ideal for situations requiring quick transient simulation, thorough internal measurements, and full current at low voltages. When evaluating power conversion and storage items including telecom rectifiers, batteries, and DC power supplies, the NHR 4700-12 offers great flexibility with a maximum current of 2400 A and a voltage range of 1 to 120 V.
The NHR 4700-12 can be operated remotely using common test programming languages or manually via its user-friendly touch-panel GUI. With its ability to produce intricate dynamic load profiles with variable slew rates, AC components on DC waveforms, and microsecond pulses, this electronic load excels. To maximize transition speed, these profiles are maintained by macros, each of which has up to 100 steps. The macros are saved and run immediately by the load.
The NHR 4700-12 is equipped with sophisticated safety features that include programmable safety limits to guard against harm from operator error, programming errors, and internal/external failures. A safety limit trigger causes the load to automatically stop operating, disable output, and produce an error message until the fault is fixed. With a maximum drop of 2 VDC, this load also has remote sensing capabilities, guaranteeing accurate readings without the need for additional external instruments like power meters or DMMs.
Another noteworthy aspect of the NHR 4700-12 is its field expandability, which enables test engineers to quickly add more modules to their configuration to create a virtual bigger load without compromising functionality. Because of its adaptability, future loading demands can be satisfied without the need for a completely new load.
